Connect Pollaris to Claude Code
Add Pollaris to Claude Code using its HTTP MCP transport.
Claude Code supports remote HTTP MCP servers and custom authorization headers. See Anthropic's official Claude Code MCP documentation for current client commands and configuration scopes.
Fastest setup
Run this command with your actual endpoint and key:
claude mcp add \
--transport http \
--scope user \
--header "Authorization: Bearer plr_mcp_v1_REPLACE_ME" \
pollaris \
https://mcp.pollaris.cc/mcpAll options must appear before the server name (pollaris). User scope makes the connection available across projects without putting the credential in a repository.
Environment-variable configuration
To keep a project configuration shareable, create .mcp.json in the project root:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pollaris": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.pollaris.cc/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer ${POLLARIS_MCP_API_KEY}"
}
}
}
}Then set POLLARIS_MCP_API_KEY outside the repository before launching Claude Code:
export POLLARIS_MCP_API_KEY='plr_mcp_v1_REPLACE_ME'
claudeClaude Code prompts before trusting project-scoped MCP servers. Inspect the URL and configuration before accepting.
Verify the connection
claude mcp list
claude mcp get pollarisInside Claude Code, run /mcp to view status. Then ask:
Use Pollaris to list my accessible workspaces and forms. Do not modify anything.Manage the connection
# Remove the configured server
claude mcp remove pollaris
# View command-specific help if your installed version differs
claude mcp --helpPollaris currently uses API-key Bearer authentication rather than MCP OAuth. Configure the Authorization header; do not start an OAuth login flow.
Troubleshooting
- Run
/mcpand inspect the connection error. - Confirm the transport is
http, not the deprecatedssetransport. - Confirm the endpoint includes
/mcp. - If
${POLLARIS_MCP_API_KEY}does not resolve, launch Claude Code from the shell where it is exported. - If tools read successfully but writes fail, check the key's scopes and your workspace role.
